Established Veterinary Practice in Ellesmere

RCVS Practice Standards

The practice initially registered for the RCVS Practice Standards Scheme in 2007. General Practice Status was achieved in all areas covered by the practice, (i.e. small animal, farm practice and equine) and has been successfully renewed since then.

We are also an affiliated veterinary nurse training centre.

In-house out-of-hours service

Here at Blakemere Veterinary Centre we are committed to providing a high quality veterinary service to our clients and this includes a 24-hour emergency service. We believe in providing continuous care to our patients and therefore all out-of-hours work is performed by our own vets. Out-of-hours phone calls to the practice are routed to an answering service who then pass the details of the call to the duty vet. The vet will then return the call to give advice or to make arrangements for your pet to be seen.

Although the Practice is not manned 24 hrs a day, hospitalised patients are checked regularly by the duty vet and remote CCTV viewing is also in use.
